            You Should Be Dancing

- Contributing artists include Space, The Lightning Seeds and Monaco. Robbie Williams and The Orb got together to record a cover of The Bee Gees 'I Started A Joke', specially for the album. Proceeds will go to Live Challenge '99, which raises money for young people's projects in the Northwest.

The album has been put together by Peter Lorraine, artist development manager at The Bee Gees' label Polydor. Monaco do 'You Should Be Dancing', a song they rerecorded three times. "The first version was a bit frightening to tell the truth," Lorraine said. "Hooky was singing on it. In the end they enlisted the help of a session singer. Hooky really liked the song. It's great, it starts off with a disco type thing and all the time you're just waiting for that New Order bass sound to come in."

Launched in February 1998, LIVE Challenge '99 is a charity initiative by Granada Television/EMAP Radio/Border Television and includes more than twenty leading businesses such as UCI Cinemas, Natwest, British Airways and The Body Shop. Live Challenge '99 aims to raise money for a range of North West regional projects which help disadvantaged and homeless children and young people of the North. Monies raised from the Bee Gees Tribute album for Live Challenge '99 will be used to assist these young people in the North West region.

The Bee Gees have roots in the North West having grown up in Manchester, and are delighted to assist and be involved in the Live Challenge '99.

The calibre of the acts who wanted to contribute to this tribute album is an acknowledgment of the quality of the Bee Gees' songwriting and is an out 'n' out pop feast! Acts from Robbie Williams to Boyzone, Louise to 911 have all recorded versions of their favorite Bee Gees' tracks, in their own innovative style! 911 liked their version of *More Than A Woman* so much that they have released it as their next single on October 12th.
